i just got a shipment of tacoma-based mountain mist water delivered to me at work. why don't i get it sent to my home? my apartment manager is too moody about package deliveries, sometimes he signs for them, sometimes not. and if he does sign, they might sit in his office for weeks. i figured out all this the hard way last year waiting for a package from the parents.

now everything comes to me at work, including three large cases of the best bottled water ever. i've got 27 gallons of the no-calorie good stuff. now i need to load it in my shagmobile and cart it to my apartment. this is where a boy would come in handy....

thanks to busy beaver buttons, i have just ordered 100 1-inch souvenir buttons for my car. yes, i am probably the only one who (will soon have) souvenirs to document friends' rides in my vehicle, but for some reason, it makes perfect sense. you must actually ride in the shagmobile (my 1983 chrysler 5th ave. with red rhinestones, fringe, really, really padded upholstry and of course shag carpet) to get the full effect. there's a disco reject/pimp running around somewhere looking for his car, i'm sure.

here's hoping the thing runs long enough for me to give out all 100 buttons.
