the best salt scrub recipe ever:
mix enough olive or almond oil in with morton's salt to achieve desired consistancy. add a few drops of essential oil - peppermint is my fave - and mix. lovely foot scrub, all tingly and pepperminty!

the only good thing about getting into a car accident is the massage therapy. although it's more therapy and less relaxing massage...

last saturday i experimented w/ cotton candy for an easter-egg-hunt. in case you were wondering, this sticky floss is harder to wind around a paper cone than it looks. a trial run in the office on friday resulted in me getting covered with the sticky webby material. there was more candy on the ceiling and window blinds than there was on my paper cone. luckily there was a child in the office who did a fair job of catching and eating the flying clumps.
it didn't get much better on the day of the event, even though i made sure to volunteer only for cotton candy bagging detail....i still went home w/ a new kind of hairspray - pink and blue spun sugar! people were holding up their little tykes to "get a picture w/ the cotton candy lady!"
i have much more respect for carnival workers. [note to self: add to list for potential life-mate "can wind cotton candy around paper cone with ease."]

a quick home remedy for winter dry hair: mix 1/2 cup honey* with 1/3 cup olive oil. massage into dry hair. cover with shower cap for 20 min. shampoo out. loovely dahling!
* from realsimple.com: before measuring honey or other gooey substances - sesame oil, corn syrup, maple syrup - run hot water on the inside of the measuring spoon or cup and don't dry it off. instead of clinging to the sides, the sticky liquid will easily get where it's going.
