i don't know if anyone reads like i do, but much of what i've been up to lately is captured in my reading list/book list, check it out!6/26/2005 10:07:00 PMa recent expedition to pasadena's legendary pie 'n burger confirmed it, these burgers are the best i've ever tasted, gasp, even better than in 'n out. truly, a six-dollar burger (um, it costs six bucks too). lots of lettuce (none of that shredded stuff), thousand-island dressing, toasted bun and a hand-formed patty. their cokes are mixed on the spot, the old-school way and any fountain drink you'd like it made fresh! and we sampled the pie of course. i think my fave was the fresh peach pie. those peaches tasted like they were on the tree just yesterday!6/26/2005 09:56:00 PM
father's day plans included a trip to the getty and dinner at malibu's gladstone's fish market.6/20/2005 06:57:00 PM
my visiting friend and i were busy! we flew around town, exploring AND apartment-hunting. i finally got to the legendary los angeles farmer's market and checked out the nearby shopping district fashioned into a small-town plaza known as "the grove." it even has it's own trolley!

we scarfed burgers from in-n-out, caught a rock show at LA's knitting factory (next to the famous mann's chinese theatre with all the star's handprints), got mani-pedis and had a lovely afternoon tea.

after my friend left, i headed up to yosemite for a week of camping with a brother and his girlfriend. we ate s'mores, roasted corn, mountain biked, walked, shopped, and hiked to several waterfalls. i arrived home, exhausted, dirty and smiling. i've had so much fun these past several weeks!6/20/2005 06:28:00 PMi guess i shouldn't be surprised to run across some blogs by students at my old college. i mean, technology is for everyone, right? i just hope that there's some sweet liberal blogs out there to balence the plu-ogging.
the plutonium respectutfully republican6/02/2005 10:14:00 PMa friend is coming soon and i'm overwhelmed & excited by the possible excursions we'll take. i find myself in the unique position of playing host to an area i grew up in but am unfamiliar with and i'm realizing how little i've explored since i've moved here. thank god she's moving here and i'll have someone to play with!6/02/2005 01:13:00 AM
