today i cleaned the floors with a looped mop that i imagine pirates used when swabbing their ship's decks. that's what i felt like i was doing anyway. it def. made the chore more enjoyable what with all my "arrg, matey!" and "where be the treasure?" spoken in an exaggerated piratey voice.3/28/2006 12:05:00 AMhere's a veronica mars swap pic:

this is the whole lot. the package included a bunch of mix tape cds i made featuring music from season one and two and a copy of the official soundtrack, mini-stationary notecards with envelopes, a diy pinhole camera kit, a chocker-style glass necklace, four little notepads with pics from season one on the covers, copies of seson one dvds and a little memory book/case thingy for 'em. i was pretty media-heavy for this swap but i had fun.
i just mailed off a package for the i heart coffee/tea swap which contained the following:

some peet's coffee and tea stuff - a ceramic mug, chocolate covered espresso beans and some of my current fave tea - black currant. the handmade stuff included coffee/vanilla lip balm, coffee & sugar scrub, four different coffee-inspired soaps (coffee & vanilla, coffee & cinnamon, coffee, avacado & cucumber and coffee & oatmeal soap) and a little stretchy plastic bracelet which reads "i heart tea" giving a shout out to all the leaf lovers. this was by far the most polished-looking swap i've done. hope my partner likes it!
now, on to the redheaded pride swap...3/25/2006 07:55:00 PMi had the best breakfast yesterday; two fried eggs, a fresh warm croissant, and english breakfast tea with milk and sugar. yum! the fresh croissant reminded me of my stay in hong kong when i'd wake early and walk down to a nearby french bistro and have coffee, scrambled egg, orange juice and a croissant and wake up with the city. i always associate fresh croissants with hong kong which i think is funny.
i enjoyed a very pleasent walk with a dog in altadena the other day. a clear view of the LA baison stretched out before me and the purple rain clouds were parting for shots of bright blue sky and puffy clouds light by the unnatural brightness that comes after a fresh rain. the streets, trees and houses were just washed and smelled pleansently of new growth. i fancied i could hear a worm burrowing in the soft soil.3/22/2006 10:17:00 AM
