these days perfect days are when i sip an iced vanilla latte from peets while reading outside and enjoying the warm, warm california afternoons. the heat isn't bothering me as much as i remember it did growing up. when i was teenager, i longed to move someplace with seasons and cold weather. now, i find myself embracing the warm hug of air when i go outside.
petey is also enjoying the southern california air with his first few days of authorized freedom as he makes the transition to indoor/outdoor kitty. he's thoroughly exploring the backyard, tasting all the grasses and practicing stalking (which is a little hard for him because i attached a bell to his collar). i say little prayers all day long for god to protect him.6/16/2006 12:57:00 PM
