halloween is coming! and with it come the haunted house preparations....boo!
9/28/2006 11:58:00 AMrecent urban adventures included a friday-night kiss or kill klub show at safari sam's, shopping at the monthly felt club at the echo, shopping at american apparel (i finally got some leggings, i know i'm behind the fashion trends), eating a brie and walnut quesadilla with apple/raisen chutney in a cafe in silverlake, and enjoying moroccan mint tea at the bourgeois pig in los feliz.9/12/2006 12:26:00 PMschool is starting up again, so i expect i'll have less free time for urban explorations. here's some highlights of my vegas trip (besides working) since i was so distraught about my kitty last week:
playing vintage pinball machines at the pinball hall of fame
tasting sonic drive-in's cranberry slushies
checking out the mermaid bar at the sliverton lodge (awesome fish tank!)
seeing folies bergere at the tropicana complete with cheesy host commenting on all the lovely (topless) ladies
chocolate treats at the bellagio
riding the roller coasters
shoping at the buffalo exchange
i'm still a girl with a petey-shaped hole in my heart. i miss him...9/07/2006 04:46:00 PMupon my return yesterday from working in las vegas i found the scattered remains of my beloved cat peters, the apparent victim of a coyote dinner. my kitty wasn't the sweetest little guy but he was my very first pet that i alone raised and really, the only one who understood his moods and that made him special and mine. he was a great source of comfort for me and i miss him something terrible. especially last night when i slept alone in my bed without my orange kitty curled up besides my head. or typing this without him laying all over my desk, the keyboard or my mouse.
thank you god for the five wonderful years i had with my peters. i'll remeber him always. rest in peace ba-ba. i love you.9/02/2006 09:40:00 AM
