our professional wedding pictures are gonna take a while, but here's a teaser picture taken by cousin stephanie on her cell phone. we look pretty happy, no? 10/30/2008 11:05:00 AM Fancy a chocolate? Originally uploaded by macaulkv
me showing off my little chocolate owl friend in cork, ireland. he was very yummy.
so we're back from the honeymoon and sad to leave ireland's lovely wet, blustry fall weather. it's hovering around 90 degrees F back here in los angeles and i'm wondering if we'll ever experience fall. our coats were immediately stashed in the closet, sigh. now we get to start the long process of settling in to our new place, adjusting to each other's habits/moods and unpacking all the wedding gifts and our own stuff. i hope to post pictures of home improvement projects as we make them.
i made a deposit this morning at my local wells fargo bank. strange to not use an envelope. i feel kind of weird. but it's sort of nice to reduce paperwaste. 10/29/2008 10:01:00 AM DSCF0581 Originally uploaded by macaulkv
we're in ireland for our honeymoon! this is a shot of me at the cliffs of the dun aengus fort on inishmore, part of the aran islands. 10/15/2008 09:02:00 PMi hate moving. i'm thinking that it's really not ideal to move, move in together, get married and host people at our place all in the same week.
i think it'll turn out okay, i just get really grumpy when i have to move and packing is not my favorite activity. i like unpacking and organizing the stuff in the new space, i just strongly dislike packing up the old space.
i can't wait for the spa on thursday. and a lovely, relaxing dinner on thursday night.
meanwhile, my rhumba kitten was displaying her climbing talents in the avacado and peach trees on my way out to the car. she likes to weave her way through the branches and bat at my fingers, showing off her climbing skills. she's a clever one! there's no trees at the new place, or at least, none like these, so it's going to be sad for her to loose her favorite jungle gym. but i'm not moving her over until after we get back from ireland.
speaking of which, i'm quite excited about leaving for a country that actually has a fall season. the warm, humid weather we're experiencing makes me long for the northwest. maybe when we return, fall have come to so cal. a crisp, blustry fall is my favorite time of the year and i ache a little for it.10/03/2008 10:40:00 AM
